Melanie Shurka is a New York chef inspired by her Israeli and Iranian roots. As a chef, Melanie nourishes tradition and inspires community through her Middle Eastern feasts cooked for Pop-Up Shabbat, Dinner Lab, acclaimed Chef Einat Admony’s “Downstairs With Chef Melanie Shurka” event and private clients. Melanie spent five years front of the house at Balthazar, managed at Ladurée Soho and produced a Persian Bazaar curated with Persian inspired booths selling art, food and craft, in NYC for 25,000 plus attendants. In between sharing wonderful food, culture and warm hospitality with guests, Melanie works on opening her first restaurant.
